Information collected and why
Mail-in requests collect contact and return-shipping details, equipment information, requested services, notes, and up to three photos so Custom Edge can assess the work, reply with pricing, and provide shipping instructions.
Testimonial submissions collect a name, private email, community, service, rating, feedback, and publication choice for verification, contact, moderation, and removal requests. The private email is not displayed or added to a marketing list.
Photos, testimonials, and retention
Mail-in images are stored privately and are never used as website photography.
Mail-in images are retained for up to 90 days. A mail-in request is retained for up to 12 months unless it is needed longer for an active dispute or legal obligation.
Website feedback is published only with publication permission and owner approval; private contact details are never displayed.
Pending testimonials are deleted after 30 days if no action is taken. Rejected or private testimonial records are deleted after 30 days. Approved testimonials and publication-consent evidence are retained while the testimonial is published, then removed promptly after permission is withdrawn.
Service providers and security
Cloudflare supports website hosting and private storage, Resend supports transactional email, and Turnstile helps prevent automated spam. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online system can promise absolute security.
Deletion or publication withdrawal
